A Dancer is Someone Special.....  At the A.T.D. Dancenter, our philosophy is to provide high quality dance instruction centering on instilling a passion for dance while building self-esteem and confidence in every student to enhance their overall development. The opportunity for our students to succeed in the dance room is carried with them in school, sports and social activities. We provide a stress-free environment where they can feel safe, dream, develop friendships and be happy while growing into fine young adults bringing their dance training with them into the future. Along with classes taught by professional certified adult instructors, we offer our students the chance to further their dance education with workshops in New York City, special guest teachers, trips to Radio City Music Hall and Lincoln Center, perform in parades, community events and statewide functions. These extra activities provide the student with a wider view in dance and will prepare them for auditions that would lead to a career in the performing arts. Being a “Family Dance Center”, everyone can enjoy the holiday parties, trips, special classes and events. Our ATD Show Teams are for students who are willing to take their dance training to a higher level. Additional classes and rehearsals are required. Our teams compete at local, state and national levels and perform at social and charitable functions inside and outside the United States. At the conclusion of our dance year, awards and scholarships are presented at our annual production. Special awards are earned based on performance, dedication, attendance, attitude and overall progress. Every student enrolled at the studio receives a medal for their participation. While we are known for being a professional school, our greatest success comes from the caring and learning environment we provide. ATD will give your child the best experience possible, teaching them that the arts are all about having inspiration, dedication, discipline and fun - giving them memories to last a lifetime.
